The Golden Globes were last Sunday as you all know, Jimmy Fallon was the host and while I like Jimmy he did a decent job. The most memorable part of the awards for me was the opening which was inspired by La La Land and it was just so funny!
My favorite part always about the awards season is the fashion. My list consists of my top favorites (ones that took my breath away) and also the honorable mentions and I will also add a favorite best dressed couple.
1. Emma Stone- Valentino
Emma is such a star in this dress.. literally there are stars on her gown, which of course was perfect to represent her film La La Land and it was just such whimsical perfection.
2. Lily Collins- Zuhair Murad
What a gorgeous Disney princess dress.. Seriously why couldn't she have played Belle over Emma Watson? That burgundy shade is stunning on her and the way the neckline was such a magical part of the dress.
3. Priyanka Chopra- Ralph Lauren
A lot of people kept comparing her dress to Sophia Vegara's dress which looked awful on her, I think Priyanka's dress had so much more class than hers did. I just love the whole aesthetic of her being with the dark vampy lips and it was just all so perfect.
4.Viola Davis- Michael Kors
Miss Viola Davis was a winner in not just the awards but her dress was stunning. The yellow looked so good with her skin tone and she is just such a classy women who knows how to dress.
5. Reese Witherspoon- Atelier Versace
I really liked Reese's Dress. I feel like the pale yellow really complimented her hair and it just looked nice.
6. Brie Larson- Rodarte
What a star. She looked like old Hollywood glamour. The red dress with the red lip it was such a classy move and she looked great.
7. Gina Rodriguez- Neem Khan
My flapper queen! I loved this one her. It was such a fun pick for the Globes.
8. Kristen Bell- Jenny Packham
I thought Kristen looked lovely, it's almost like a tuxedo/suit dress and I loved her hair.
9. Mandy Moore- Neem Khan
She was a vintage goddess. I loved everything about this look
BEST COUPLE
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively- Gucci and Atelier Versace
They looked like a true Hollywood couple. Ryan's outfit was nice and fit him and Blake's dress was so nice and it had this cool pockets. Old Hollywood couple feel with a modern twist.

Queen Of Hearts, You give me life.
Oh Jenna, back at it again with the Queen Of Hearts palette... lol
I have been trying some new Wet N Wild products firstly the new Photo Focus foundation with is supposed to have no flash back, it actually has a beautiful finish and I like there's a spatula type applicator where you don't have to put it on the back of your hand. It's def a medium coverage foundation but it's actually very nice and I have been using it for a couple weeks now.
Another new product is the Maybelline Big Shot mascara, ok the packaging and the brush I love but I don't know if this mascara knocks my socks off just yet.
Here's my look:

Emma Stone La La Land Premiere
La La Land killed it at the Golden Globes Sunday, I think they grabbed up every award they were nominated for and I have yet to see it but it's one of those movies where I know I'm going to like solely because it's a musical and that really speaks to me. I also really enjoy the chemistry that Ryan and Emma have onscreen.
This look was inspired by Emma's look at the La La Land premiere and it caught my eye because I loved the mix of the deep purples and an icy teal on the lower lash line. I think she looked fantastic!

New Years Eve 2016
My goal for New Year's Eve this year was sparkles, sparkles, sparkles. I had gotten a sample from Glitter Elixirs called Unihorn and I had to use it. Unihorn was a beautiful muilti-colored purples and blues and pinks. I also used the new Colourpop eye shadow palette in collab with Amanda Steele Weekend Warrior palette because yes ladies and gents Colourpop has created pressed shadows and they are actually pretty fantastic!

Zingara
You guys I can't stop, won't stop on these warm looks, again using my Coloured Raine Queen of Hearts palette and incorporating a new quad from Colourpop called Zingara. Zingara consists of 4 shadows. We have Paradox which is a satin warm burgundy red, Elixir is a matte terracotta, Seeker is matte warm reddish brown and Jinxie is a soft pearlized gold. I really wanted to use Paradox as a liner on the top and I thought it looked pretty cool paired with a peach lip which is why I used Ultra Matte from Colourpop in Speed Dial.

Coloured Raine Queen Of Hearts Palette
One of my top palettes of 2016 was in fact an impulse buy... I was working overnight of Black Friday and I was on my break scrolling through the Instagram like one does and I came across a picture of this beautiful palette called the Queen Of Hearts and it was by Coloured Raine and that was a brand I had heard of but I have never tried a product from them and I had mostly known about them for their liquid lipsticks. I had been on a huge warm color kick lately so I couldn't resist and I think I had a discount code as well so what the hey..
This palette is so incredible beautiful! The mattes blend perfectly and the shimmers are more like foiled shadows and they are gorgeous rich shades so this has been a palette I have and still reaching for. I will have to post swatches of some of my eye shadow palettes soon..
Another palette I also really love is the Violet Voss X Laura Lee palette, again another company I have never purchased a product from this company but I am a huge fan of Laura Lee and her Youtube channel.
For my lips I used a new Ultra Satin from the Colour Pop Holiday Collection called Wink and this is actually one of my favorite colors. It's a rich berry shade and paired really nicely with this look.

24kt Magic
I had to work Christmas Eve, which was nuts! I wanted to use my Lorac 3D Liquid Lustre drops, to add a little sparkle to my look. You guys, if you have never worked retail, you will never understand the insanity of Christmas Eve shoppers... We don't usually have items in stock on Christmas Eve and most people don't grasp that concept..it just drives me mad sometimes.. lol
Anyways just really wanted to focus on a nice gold glimmery look that was pretty easy to do.

Christmas Ribbon
For my family Christmas party I wanted to go full glam, I really wanted to use some items from the Colourpop X Hello Kitty Collab. I wasn't a huge fan of Hello Kitty growing up but I found her very cute and I loved the packaging for this collection! I had to of course do a red lip so Ribbon is probably one of the best holiday reds, in liquid lip stick form I have ever used. It's just a beautiful true red. Then I used Juicy Apple and Sticker Sheet, Juicy Apple is one of the Glitter Sheer formula which is a beautiful gold but you really have to pack it on. Sticker Sheet is your run of the mill matte brown which leans a little more on the taupe side. These were from the Hello Pretty set which came with one other shadow, a blush, a highlight, a Ultra Matte lip, and a gloss which is called KT and I can't wait to use as a lip topper. Another cool thing about the collection is that it comes with a mirror.
Still part of the Hello Kitty Collection but as a separate item the highlight I chose to wear is called School is Fun and this color is absolutely beautiful gold but has a yellow shift that is just so fun and playful.
Here's my look:

On Wednesdays We Wear Highlighter
Too Faced has been on a roll lately, one of the Black Friday items I purchased with the Matt Chocolate Chip Palette. It's a mini version of more of the Chocolate Bar palette with a few colors from the Semi Sweet palette and I know a lot of people have not liked this palette because the palette is so tiny and there's not a lot of pigmentation, but I find that the colors are pretty pigmented and the brushes fit just fine, I've been using real techniques and morphe brushes.
I had to go with a pink theme today because I wanted to use one of the Mean Girls highlighters from Brija Cosmetics that came out with a Mean Girls blush and highlighter line. The color is definitely pink, it's stunning but I would use it more as an inner highlight on the eyes rather than a face highlight.
I've also been really enjoying the BH Cosmetics liquid lipsticks and I love the names because they are inspired by the show Bewitched which I loved watching on Nick at Night when I was a kid.

Sweet Peaches!
I have been way behind on my posts because I have 6 or 7 that I had done before the new year but I just never had time to sit down and post. Working retail over the holidays is pretty wicked sometimes..
This look was used with the elusive Too Faced Sweet Peach palette which is one of my favorites of 2016. In fact Too Faced recently just came out with a whole Sweet Peach line with a highlight palette, blush and lip glosses. The only thing that really stuck out to me was the Sweet Peach Glow palette, which consists of a highlight, bronzer and a blush. I missed the first sale even though I waited for 2 hours at 5 am and then as soon as I got through that bugger was sold out on their website. I tried a second time on the Sephora website and ended up snagging one up.
I tied the look together with one of the Matte X lippies from the Colourpop X Jenn Im collab called Jenneration X, which is a pretty matte orange/red shade.

Let's Play
I am obsessed with Let's Play by Colourpop. It is the most magical color and it's from the Colourpop X Hello Kitty collection. It's a Satin Luxe formula that is a beautiful red with pink fine glitter.. I really hope they come out with more of these, maybe a nude shade with fine gold glitters. I think that would be gorgeous! I have also been really digging the new Smashbox Cover Shot Smoky palette, especially during the holidays.
Recently Colourpop has also came out with new highlighters that remind me a lot of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Moon Child Palette, with this look I used Perilune, which is a green shift but also kinda golden.. it's very pretty and a perfect addition to the look.
