Lady Gaga Superbowl Look!!!

Can we have a moment for Lady Gaga and her flawlessness at the Super Bowl. When she stepped out on the field to sing the National Anthem I was in awe of her glittery red eyes, in fact as soon as her performance was over I searched the web to find out exactly what was on her face and never really got a straight answer. One thing was for sure though, I had to recreate this look and I had to find red glitter. I stumbled upon Eye Kandy Cosmetics, which had a glitter in every color that was eye safe to use and I found it in Cherry Bomb, which is a deeper red but still had that Ruby Slippers quality.  The rest of her face was gorgeous as well, it was glowing and she tied the whole look together with the perfect nude lip.

While we are talking about the Super Bowl, I never really have a team that I specifically root for, I usually ask my boyfriend what team we are gonna root for?  This year was the Broncos, which I loved because my two favorite colors are Blue and Orange so I had no problem doing a look inspired by the team.

Here's the inspired look:

Movie Premiere: Dakota Johnson at How To Be Single

The moment I saw a photo of Dakota Johnson at the How To Be Single premiere I was obsessed and I knew I had to do a look inspired by hers, I was lucky to find the exact products her makeup artist Pati Dubroff used to create the look, so I found my own dupe version of those products. She used a ton of Laura Mercier products and Urban Decay Heavy Metal liner, I have heard awesome things about this glitter so I was just going to pick up the product but the problem is this particular glitter was sold out on the Urban Decay, Sephora, and Ulta website.. So I shifted gears and tried to find a close dupe for it, so I used one of the NYX Crystal glitter liners which worked pretty well. I also found a close dupe for her Diorshow Mono Cream shadow in Etoile with my Colour Pop shadow in Ice. Her lips were a really nice deep nude shade which was also Laura Mercier but I used one of my new Lorac lip sticks in Exhibitionist.

I really wanted to do a look using one of my new Ofra liquid lipsticks in the color Brooklyn, which is a true brown color, then I looked up the poster for the movie Pride, Prejudice and Zombies and it was all very cool toned so I decided to do a cool toned look. We actually went and saw the movie later on that night and while I was very excited to see the movie, I was so disappointed...

Something I wasn't disappointed in was the new Makeup Geek Duo Chrome shadows I received in the mail, because they are absolutely gorgeous!! Voltage is this beautiful gold color but in some light it's yellow and Ritzy is a red with green and gold duo chrome, they are just stunning!!

In addition to their spring line, they also came out with their new Sheer Porefection Foundation and Color Source Blushes (which are beautiful! and they build up so nicely!)

You guys! I can't even begin to tell you how flawless Kathleen Lights new Colour Pop collaboration is... there are no words for how stunning of a color Telepathy is. It's a gorgeous Chartreuse color which is so amazingly bright it paired wonderfully with Makeup Geek's Duo Chrome shadow in Voltage, I also used another color in her quad called Midnight, which is a really fun black with gold glitters. I tied the look all together with Ruffle, which is a beautiful mid toned brown shade, which was from the Colour Pop Vixen lippie set.

Navy Blue and Rose.. What?!

You know that feeling when colors in a palette magically call out to you as soon as you open that palette, and two colors that couldn't be an odder match want to be put together in a makeup look? Well this happened while I was getting ready for work, I opened up my Lorac Pro 2 palette and really wanted to do a simple look incorporating the Rose' color and as I was working on my transition shade in the crease, I was itching to add a little bit of the Navy color into the mix, I thought ooh a little bit of a Navy smoky crease color would be cool, then the navy crept all over the lid, it was so unexpected and so unusual but it worked. I'm not going to be afraid to mix unusual color from now on haha
