Lady Gaga: Golden Globes

Of course I had to do a look inspired by Lady Gaga at the Golden Globes. I finally got to see A Star is Born and I was so disappointed... Gaga and Bradley Cooper were fantastic but I hated the plot and the ending and I think it really gives a bad message. (I don't want to spoil the end for anyone...)

I used the Colourpop Fame palette because it was the ideal cool toned palette and this look is very cool toned.

Here's My Inspiration:

It's My Pleasure

At the time Colourpop had just come out with the It's My Pleasure 9 pan palette but now Colourpop is the company that never rests and they have already came out with a red, blue, yellow and now orange palette. They also just came out with a Strawberry palette.

It's My Pleasure is a beautiful palette, that since then I have been using and almost hitting pan on.

Another new product that I had tried was the Maybelline Snapscara and it was the burgundy shade. I really enjoyed this mascara because it was so easy to take off!

Ariana Grande: One Love Concert

Oh Ari, you are one of these people that I can't stand but the more your humanity and compassion for others comes out, I excuse your diva attitude and like you more and more.. You put together such an amazing concert.. What happened in Manchester was terrible, and you really went the extra mile for your fans and the people who were affected by this awful event.  It was uplifting and you could feel the love through the screen.

I was not only captivated by your kindness but also your highlight.. girl, your makeup was absolutely stunning along with Katy Perry's, who makeup I also plan on recreating that day... but Daniel Chinchilla knocked it out of the park.. her highlight was so golden and glowy.. if you didn't see it in HD you didn't get the full blinding beauty but omg it was everything!!! So nice work Daniel!!

I used a couple of favorites to create the look along with some limited edition items from Colour Pop's Birthday Collection which was Blow Me Out which was a gorgeous bronze highlight but I used it as an eye shadow mixed with another limited edition super shock shadow also from Colour Pop which was called Utopia, one of their mixed shades, more of a bronze/rose gold.

Priyanka Chopra: Metallic Look

So as we are rolling into July, which means we are just a little halfway done with this year.. woah.
I turned the elusive 30 years old last month and we went and saw the movie Baywatch. Although it's not the greatest movie of all time, I will say it's exactly what the show was and doesn't take itself too seriously.. I think the Rock and Zac worked great together and I thoroughly enjoyed the movie as a whole, it's a fun summer movie.

With that in mind I have been following Priyanka Chopra through her Instagram and seeing all her beautiful red carpet fashion and makeup and this metallic look really caught my eye. I had just purchased the new Skinny Dip palette from Jouer and it is absolutely stunning! These shadows  are so pretty and foil beautifully but the work best when applied with your finger. Star Light was such an impressive shade for me that just looked out of this world..

What Unicorns Are Made Of

I have never tried Zoeva products before, they weren't a brand that was really in my radar. I saw a Trendmood post about their new Sweet Glamour Palette and it looked so pretty and springy and I was very hesitant to purchase a pastel pallet, especially after passing on the Lorac I Love Brunch Palette.  I actually really enjoyed using the Zoeva palette, the colors are light but they are still pigmented.

You definitely can't do a unicorn look without a fun highlighter! I decided to go with What Unicorn's Are Made of from Love Luxe Beauty, it's a beautiful multi-colored highlighter but still gives the cheeks that rainbow swirled effect but light enough where it's still wearable.

For the lips I used one of the new Colourpop Ultra Metallic lips in Dirty Birdy, which is a great light pinky metallic and popped that right in the center of the lips.

Here's my look:

Coachella: Lady Gaga Look #2

Here's another totally awesome Lady Gaga look from Coachella weekend. I loved how futuristic it was and I loved playing with a duo chrome in the center of the lid and Voltage by Makeup Geek is such a magical color. Then you get that playful bright blue color on the lower lash line, it's quite a different combination.. kinda reminds me of my school colors to be honest.. Go Wolves!

Another palette I have been using constantly is the Too Faced Mini Chocolate Chip palette which I love using the matte colors for different transition shades but I love and both hate how small the palettes pans are, but the palette itself is quite pigmented.

I finished off the look with the color Cougar which was from the Colourpop Sundays In Silverlake collection two years ago  but it's a beautiful matte Fuschia/ Red shade.which would still be appropriate for this summer

Coachella: Lady Gaga look #1

I know Coachella was like months ago, but nothing topped Lady Gaga's makeup during the festival. The first picture I saw of her was on her makeup artist Sarah Tannon's instagram and I was stunned.. that pink eye line goodness was just everything and it didn't make Gaga look sickly, she also added a some flower artwork to her face which I decided not to do.

I just started using the new Covergirl Total Tease mascara and at first I thought it was gonna be so gimmicky with the weird wand, one side is normal but the back side has these tiny pick-like bristles and it actually does an awesome job and makes my lashes look so good!! One of my favorites at the drugstore right now.

Colour Pop Spring: Nectar

Colour Pop went the way of Too Faced with the Peach colored products, which is fine by me because I love peach tones especially in the spring it's very fresh! I am still pretty into the Colourpop pressed shadows, I think they are great dupes for higher end shadows! In this look I used the Blow Me Away palette with a few select other peach shadows in the line. I was super excited that they brought the super shock shadow Flipper back, because it's such a soft orange but it has silver sparkles to make a huge impact. Take a Break is one of my favorites because it's such a beautiful peach/gold duo chrome and it looks great as an inner corner highlight. Issues is a great matte peach transition shade and Centerfold and Cut Outs are great bold mattes as well.

I added Ultra Satin Lippie in Botanical to the peachy mix, which is a really bright peachy coral look which I love wearing during this time of year.

On Wednesdays We Wear Wednesday

I have been really bad lately when it comes to taking pictures of my eyes.. I am so sorry guys!  I will try to get better but the next few posts are going to be full face. A few months back Colour pop dropped some new liquid lip sticks and they were all based off the days of the week and I think I purchased 4 or 5 shades out of the 7, Wednesday was great because it was the color pink and duh you have to wear pink on Wednesdays right?

I used another old favorite of mine the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons palette which is still so good and awesome quality. Also I'm sure I have said this before but Satin Sheets makes a gorgeous highlighter as well as an eye shadow and today I used Totally Fetch as a blush.

I don't know if I mentioned this before but I have been using the Fiona Stiles contour palette for a while now and I have been loving it! I've been using it with the NYX Fan brush which just blends everything out like a dream!

Movie Premiere: Priyanka Chopra's Mermaid Look

I was never a huge fan of the tv show Baywatch, the only time I really was exposed to it was when I was over my friends house and we would watch some episodes after school. Then there were talks about a Baywatch movie last year and to be completely honest I was not into it at all.. it was nothing to do with the cast because the Rock is great, I love Priyanka in Quantico, and Zac Efron is pretty good in comedic movies so eh it would have been fine but just didn't feel necessary.... but I have changed my tune every since I saw the trailer, because this reminds me of 21 Jump Street, which is one of my favorites and again a movie that no one had asked for... bottom line is I am waiting to see this movie when it comes out next week!

I was so taken with Priyanka's makeup at the Miami premiere, it's so beautiful and magically mermaid like. I used only a few shadows to complete the look granted most of them are discontinued from Colourpop which is a bummer but really you could use any shadow to recreate the look.

Baby Talk

After finally playing catch up for a couple months, hopefully I will be posting on here regularly. This look was done with Colour Pop's Super Shock Pigment in Baby Talk, which is a really rich red pigment. It's not advised to use these pigments on the eyes but I used it as a liner and I didn't have any issues with it.

I also used the Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Palette, which I still really love using and I paired the look with Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip in Pookie Bear, which is a beautiful bright coral shade.

PB and Honey Palette

After months of seeing this palette being teased on Instagram, I knew I needed it in my life. I was lucky because I used a 20% off coupon plus I had $11 dollars in Ulta rewards so I bought it as soon as it was released to platinum members. Then I anticipated it's arrival to my home and when it finally came I opened the box and the packaging was so adorable. I opened up the palette and all the colors were so pretty and eye catching.. and then I swatched it...  Where is the pigment Too Faced? Why aren't the colors showing up on my ghostly pale skin? One of the colors Creamed Honey is my exact skin tone, so actually that color works great for an all over base but the rest of the colors were so disappointing! I had to wet my brush and keep layering the Going Nuts shade..What happened? Why aren't these better quality like the other 9 pan palettes because all of the other ones I have are fantastic. I think after this I'm taking a break from Too Faced shadow palettes...

I Need a Play By Play

I have been just loving the Colourpop pressed eye shadows and in the second batch of new colors they came out with a lot of cool green shades. Checkmate is a matte seafoam green shade that is just so unique and Sideline is this really awesome duo chrome shade that is green with a purple/burgundy shift. Play by Play is another duo chrome but this one is more of a peach color with a green shift. I also used a color called Team Captain which is another matte shadow but it's a deep forest green shade.

I also purchased one of the new Creme formula lipsticks, I find these to be one of their best formulas of lippie stix because they are so comfortable and creamy and just sit really nice on the lips. Sure Thing is also a really lovely nude shade.

Grammy's 2017: Adele

Adele was queen of the Grammy's this year. Which would be no surprise to anyone. She slayed with Hello all year round and continues to make just really great music. I really loved Adele's look and wanted to create something similar. I pulled out an old friend for this one, the Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette and a new product which I think is one of my favorite products at the moment and it comes from Flower Beauty. Flower Beauty is Drew Barrymore's makeup line, you can purchase Flower Beauty products at Walmart. The product I was so blown away with is her Face Palette in Light.  It consists of a Bronzer, Blush and Highlight and the highlight it so breathtaking, it's so smooth and buttery almost like a cream product, there's no glitter just a really beautiful sheen.

I also mixed a new lip shade called Bare Necessities from the fairly new Colourpop X Alexis Ren collection with an OG lip shade called Vice which is also and Ultra Matte lippie but way too light on it's own.

I Pinky Promise Love Muffin

Colourpop recently, the week before Valentine's Day, came out with a Valentine's Day Collection. I think besides the 90's collection a couple falls ago, it might be one of my favorite collections. They came out with a quad of super shock shadows, a ton of new pressed powders, a mini lippie set, a pigment and single super shock shadow and a highlighter.

For Valentine's day week I really wanted to rock some pretty pink looks and these items really took me there.. I also incorporated my Coloured Raine Queen of Hearts palette, which was only appropriate..  and the Colourpop highlighter Tough Love is the perfect pink, where its more of a champagne pink, just gorgeous! I also used the shades in the One of A Kind Duo Set- Pinky Promise which is a stunning wine shade in a metallic finish and Going Steady which is a deep wine shade in a matte finish. They really compliment each other nicely.

For the lips I used one of the Ultra Satin lips from the Short and Sweet mini collection called Love Muffin which is a lighter pink shade and I topped it off with Sugar Lips a glossy lip shade with a lot of multicolored glitters but not chunky or gritty on the lips.

Lady Gaga: Super Bowl Look

Now you know I had to do a look inspired by Lady Gaga at the Superbowl... and a month later here it is!! haha

I was rooting for the Falcon's this year because it would have been cool to see someone who is not Tom Brady win.. but as the fates would have it the Patriots dominated the field. I'm not a huge fan of football in general although my family are avid Lions fans, which I will never understand why.. I was more excited to see the half time show because you really never know what to expect with Lady Gaga and what her performances entail... I actually really liked her performance medley of hits and she really danced her booty off, but more importantly than all of that her makeup was impeccable. Her makeup artist Sarah Tanno really did an amazing job with her overall look. It made her look like such a star and she looked stunning!! Luckily Sarah shared with us the beauty breakdown on Instagram and she used all Nars products, I only had one of the products she used and it was only because it was a Sephora birthday gift last year.. otherwise my interpretation is pretty affordable.

I used mostly Colourpop pressed shadows which are fairly new to my collection and I have to say I really enjoy the formula of their shadows, very pigmented. NYX also came out with new pigments and while I was over at Ulta I had to try them out, you know for.. science. I picked up two shades, Froyo which I used in the look today it's a really lovely lavender/pink frosty shade and then another called Vegas Baby which I haven't used but it looks like a golden silver glitter bomb in the best way possible!

I also tried out a new primer, which I had gotten as a Sephora sample, the Smashbox Pore Minimizing primer (the purple one) and I'm kinda impressed with how well it filled in my pores.

Valentine's Day the Colourpop Way!

Yesterday was Valentine's day and I was so excited to create a look using some items from the new Colourpop Valentine's Day collection. I wanted something bright and fun but also kinda smoky. I used all the Super Shock Shadows in the Yes, No, Maybe So quad and I tied in one of my favorite palettes the Modern Renaissance palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills. I also used their new highlighter Tough Love (which is a beautiful pink highlight shade) and a mini lippie from the Short and Sweet set in Schnookums.

UD After Dark

I've been playing around with a couple new palettes, one of them being the new Urban Decay After Dark palette, which I do like the jewel toned colors but I'm not convinced that it's something you need in your collection ,you will certainly reaching for other palettes when it comes to a transition or brow shade. The colors I definitely gravitated toward are the rust and gold shades, which is what I incorporated in my look today. I also used the Morphe X Kathleen Lights palette which I absolutely love and that dirty camel shade is just so divine!  Another new product I used was from Colourpop and it's a new Matte X from their Persude Me set in the color Ziggie which is a nice terracotta shade. I also used one of the new eyeliners from NYX called Burnt Sienna.. omg you guys what a color! it's so creamy and rich looking. If you see these at your local Ulta be sure to snatch them up.

Emma Stone La La Land Premiere

La La Land killed it at the Golden Globes Sunday, I think they grabbed up every award they were nominated for and I have yet to see it but it's one of those movies where I know I'm going to like solely because it's a musical and that really speaks to me. I also really enjoy the chemistry that Ryan and Emma have onscreen.

This look was inspired by Emma's look at the La La Land premiere and it caught my eye because I loved the mix of the deep purples and an icy teal on the lower lash line. I think she looked fantastic!

Here's the inspired look:

New Years Eve 2016

My goal for New Year's Eve this year was sparkles, sparkles, sparkles. I had gotten a sample from Glitter Elixirs called Unihorn and I had to use it. Unihorn was a beautiful muilti-colored  purples and blues and pinks. I also used the new Colourpop eye shadow palette in collab with Amanda Steele Weekend Warrior palette because yes ladies and gents Colourpop has created pressed shadows and they are actually pretty fantastic!
