Teen Choice Awards 2015: Lucy Hale

You may be asking yourself why would I be watching Teen Choice Awards when I'm 28 years old.. well that's a good question.. Britney Spears was going to be making an appearance so I had to watch, it doesn't matter if I didn't know half the young stars who were there but I knew enough of them to care... especially my Pretty Little Liars cast. One being Lucy Hale and her stunning metallic blue liner look and nude lip. I tried to do this look countless amounts of time and I did not have any product close to the metallic blue she had so after searching online and at the drug store I found a metallic jordana liner (yay!!!)

Astronaut Wives Club Inspired

One of the shows I have been watching this summer was Astronaut Wives Club. It was only a 10 episode series but it was so good.  It followed the first original astronauts and their wives and it was produced by Stephanie Savage who also behind Gossip Girl (one of my favorite shows. ever.)  It also featured Joanna Garcia, Wilson Bethel, Desmond Harrington (THE Jack Bass) and had the most stunning makeup and clothes I have ever seen and makes me want to transport to the 50's and 60's ASAP.  The look I saw was inspired by the character Jo, and it was a really bright sunny yellow eye with a coral/peach lippie.

Summerlovin

So last month at our store Lorac released their new Pro Contour Palette and also their new Front of the Line Pro Liners (which I highly recommend) but with the Contour Palette I was so confused with how to use the brush, because one side is flat and the other is dome shaped, but what's really nice about this palette is that it includes an easy to follow booklet and shows you how you can contour for your face shape.

Anastasia Beverly Hills World Couture Palette

One palette that I have been absolutely loving and have used all through the month of August is the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Shadow Couture World Traveler palette. Now I had seen some Youtubers using this palette before and while I was in Ulta, I walked over to the Anastasia section and I was completely mesmerized by the color that is Pink Champagne. So I thought I'd wait on it and then I saw a 10% off code for new ABH customers, so I gave it a go and my goodness this palette in phenomenal!! The brush included is just life and it makes every color blend so seamlessly. Of course in this look I did not use Pink Champagne but I incorporated it with some of the new Colour Pop Road Trip Collection products and created a really nice summer look with corals, that really gave me a beachy vibe. I made the look extra dewy by using the Tatcha spray.

Naked Smoky Cool Toned Look

Trying to incorporate my new Cover Girl Outlast Lip Stick into a look was hard, besides the fact I can't stand the product, I decided to try a cool toned look using the new Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette. As mentioned in an earlier post I received this lip product in my influenster box, so I gave it a go and honestly it just did not live up to it's expectations every tine I've worn it. Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette!

I was so fortunate to have kept my $20 off coupon from Urban Decay. If I didn't have it I probably wouldn't have purchased this off the bat ( oh who am I kidding.. )  I have to say out of all the Naked Palettes I own this one is my least favorite because with the Naked 1 it's the classic palette where you can basically do any kind of look. Naked 3 is my favorite because I just love the rose gold tones. The Naked Smoky leans very cool and I would say if you already have Naked 2, I wouldn't bother getting Naked Smoky. It's not that it's a horrible palette, because I do like it! it's just there's nothing really unique about the palette compared to other more affordable palettes out there.

    Here's my look:

Here's what I used on my eyes:

Base- Cargo HD Picture Perfect Primer
    Lid- Naked Smoky in DirtySweet
Crease- Naked Smoky in Radar, Whiskey and Black Market in outer crease
Highlight- Naked Smoky in Thirteen and High in the inner corner
Liner- Urban Decay Velvet Liner in Lush on the top and then I used Whiskey on the lower lash line
