Quick Halloween Looks

We are way past Halloween and just got through Thanksgiving but I do have some Halloween looks. I was pretty boring this year, I didn't know what I was going to be and I didn't go out for Halloween. I decided on a night off that I was going to dress up as Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad, because c'mon it's the top Halloween look this year and Margot Robbie is awesome so I just had to...

On actual Halloween I did a nice orange look using the Morphe 350 Matte and Shimmer Palettes and then I used  Colourpop Metallic lip in Flitter on top of an orange lippie which I forgot what it was...

The Muse on 5th Avenue

I am a huge fan of the Anastasia palettes, I have collected most of them and still use all of them. The Master Palette by Mario is just as good. The only issue I have is that there isn't a light enough brow highlight shade, but other than that it's a home run. Muse is probably one of my favorite shades and the ABH shadows just blend beautifully, the mattes I never find to be chalky or have no pigment.

I really wanted to do a smoky look but more of a reverse smoky eye, where it's more smoky on the lower lash line and I paired this look with Times Square from Colourpop, which is a dark beige-pink on me but I really liked the way everything turned out.

Here's my look:

Here's what I used:

EYES
  • Base- Cargo HD Picture Perfect Primer
  • Lid- Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette by Mario in Muse and then in the middle of the lid I used 5th Avenue.
  • Crease- Lula as my transition shade then I darkened the outer crease with Violeta

Urban Decay Full Spectrum: Purples

I'm thinking I might do looks based on each color in the Urban Decay Full Spectrum palette. All the colors of the rainbow should be represented! This time around I played with the purples in the palette to complement one of my new lip shades Femme, which is a really nice purple, the ColourPop site calls it a dirty lilac shade, which would be spot on.  Again because the palette did not have transition shades I used the Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics palette.

Here's my look:

Here's what I used:

EYES
  • Base- Cargo HD Picture Perfect Primer
  • Lid- Urban Decay Full Spectrum Palette in Delirious and Sketch with Faded in the middle of the lid. In the outer portion I used Too Faced Totally Cute palette in Meow.

  • Liner- On top I used Kat Von D liquid liner in Trooper, On the bottom I used Faded and Sketch with Delirious in the outer portion. In the inner corner I used Makeup Geek X Kathleen Lights Palette in Star Light

CHEEKS
  • Primer- Becca Backlight Priming Filter
  • Foundation- Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless
  • Concealer- Tarte Shape Tape

Urban Decay Full Spectrum: Greens

I was waiting for the Urban Decay Full Spectrum palette to be released for a while because I wanted to spend my 10 dollar UD kickback on something that's worth my while and as soon as they put up, it was added to my cart, no question.  Urban Decay already had a Spectrum palette that I missed out on for last holiday I believe and I debated on that one and another palette, I also wanted the Kat Von D Mi Vida Loca Palette, because I have never tried her eye shadows (still haven't) but that thing sold out so fast. Needless to say I was happy Urban Decay did another version that had more of a variety of colors.

I immediately gravitated to the Hatter shade and knew I wanted to do a look with it so I just incorporated all of the greens in as well.  The only thing I don't like about the palette is there's really no transition shade like a mid tone brown so I had to also pull in my Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics palette just for some transition colors and a nice brow highlight which the Full Spectrum palette also does not have.

On my lips I used the color Gypsy from Colour Pop which is now called Calypso, it's a beautiful pinky-nude shade

Here's my look:

EYES
  • Primer- Cargo HD Picture Perfect Primer
  •  Lid- Urban Decay Full Spectrum Palette in Hatter, with Hundred in the outer portion and Mean in the inner portion.
  •  Crease- Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Palette in Nudie and Tempted and Hundred
  • Highlight- Blow
  • Liner- Colour Pop liner in Fast Lane on the top and water line. I used Colour Pop Telepathy on the lower lash line and Makeup Geek Voltage in the inner corner
  •  Mascara- Urban Decay Perversion

CHEEKS
  • Primer- Too Faced Hangover RX
  •  Foundation- Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless
  •  Concealer- Tarte shape tape
  • Contour- Elf Contour Palette
  • Highlight-  Makeup Geek X Kathleen Lights in Night Light
  • Blush- Colour Pop in Birthday Suit
LIPS
  • Colour Pop Ultra Satin in Gypsy

Totally Cute!

Too Faced is one of my favorite brands, especially when it comes to eye shadow palettes. They recently came out with their fall collection a few months again and they released a new palette called Totally Cute and yes as the name would suggest it's totally cute!  The palette came with couple sheets of stickers where you can customize your own palette.

Have you ever seen a palette that you had to have, not because of the product or the colors, but the names of the products? Well I am a huge sucker for palettes or eye shadows with funny or pop culture inspired names and The Balm just came out with the cutest palette I have seen! It's called the Balm Appetite palette and in true Balm fashion they have another palette with guys on them but it's not the reason why I wanted this palette. it's the names of the shadows especially if one was called Chris P. Bacon or Hal Apeno-Popper.. see where I'm going with this? Pun names based on food, genius!

Colour Pop Fall Edit

We are already into November and I am once again so behind on my posts, I recently got full time at my other job so things have been gotten delayed, but never fear I am back with some more looks that scream fall. Colour Pop came out with their new fall line and they surprised people with a whole slew of new products. This look is inspired by the Fall edit #1 which is dusty plums and purples. Tang is one of my favorite colors in this collection and it goes perfect with the new Anastasia Modern Renaissance palette and I have to say it's a pretty nice dupe for the shade Buon Fresco, if you couldn't get your hands on this palette. I also used Stereo which is a pretty darkened burgundy with bronze and
pinky sparkles, this shade was a re-release from the 90's collection from last fall.  For the lippie I used Dukes, which is a gorgeous matte blackened berry shade.

Another new product I used was the Tarte Shape Tape concealer, which took me forever to get, this little bugger was sold out constantly.. and I can see why. It's amazing! Very pigmented but not thick, and covers areas like a dream.

Rose Gold Foiled Look

OMG you guys this is it! We are into the last few months coming up to Christmas.. I can not believe how fast this year has flown by! Working in retail is such a funny thing around the holidays because it's not even Halloween yet and already we have Halloween stuff, then one other section of Thanksgiving themed items and then in the back we already have the Christmas trees!  haha  Well with the anticipation of Christmas ahead, we have already started getting in all of our holiday makeup sets... LORAC was one of the first to be received and OMG the packaging is beautiful!! All of their packing and compacts are a beautiful rose gold finish, which makes them look luxurious and expensive and just some really nice pieces that look fancy on a vanity or desk.

Now this first item is the Lorac Pro Metal Palette, it is not new but it's been re promoted for the holidays in a gorgeous rose gold metallic packaging! I picked this up because our store did not receive the original metal palette when it was originally launched in stores. The shades on this palette are stunning, just like all Lorac shadows they can be worn wet or dry,  I usually wet mine with a setting spray to give it that extra bit of metallic sheen.

Also a new product from Pur that is knocking my socks off is their Elevation Highlight Palette... seriously... I mean look at that..   This I believe is a Kohl's exclusive because I could not find any information on the official Pur site, and I know that Pur has no idea who I am but please make Altitude a permanent shade because it is gorgeous!! If you could just make the whole palette permanent that would be even more fantastic!!!

Another new item that is also a Kohl's exclusive, is the Social Affair Alter Ego Lip Stick set which includes 5 unreleased colors, and I am obsessed with them already!! The color I chose today is Fashionista with a beautiful rose brown shade.

Here's my look:

Base- Cargo HD

CHEEKS

Blush- Lorac Spectre

LIPS
  • Lorac Alter Ego Lip Stick in Fashionista

Look at the glow!!

Frost Yourself

I've really been loving the Metal palette from Lorac, and I wanted to do more of a cool toned look incorporating the cobalt shade. So all in all it got very frosty kinda like something you would see in Frozen. I thought it looked cool and I wanted to use another new Lorac lip stick from their Rose and Revelry collection called Trendsetter, which is a beautiful mauve/nude shade.. and of course the Pur Elevation highlighter palette in Altitude. (please make this permanent Pur!!)

Love Your Selfie 2

Another awesome palette arrived at work and I have been waiting to get my hands on this palette for a while now, dang all those persuasive Youtubers, I'm talking about the Love Your Selfie 2 palette by Pur Cosmetics.  What's really convenient about this palette is you not only get eye shadow but like the original Love Your Selfie palette it comes with a powder, bronzer, and highlight. It also comes with a lip gloss and a mascara. Except now you also get a velvet matte lip pencil in the newest palette.

I really enjoy the colors in this palette, mainly Mega Pixel and Abstract. In the palette you get 3 mattes and 5 shimmers. The shade in Overexposed is confusing to me because they say it's a "Baking Powder" but I guess I would classify this as a more natural glowy sheen to the face then a baking powder. I always think of a baking powder being more like a loose powder.   The bronzer shade Composition is very orange on me, I have to use very light hand, or use it as a blush. Then we get to Photogenic which is claiming to be a highlight.. which is way too dark for my skin so I've been using it as a blush topper, it's a very pretty shade though.

L to R: Headshot, Statuesque, Panorama, Abstract.

R to L: Pose, Sketch, Megapixel, Paparazzi

R to L: Overexposed,Photogenic and Composition

There's also a mini fully charged mascara, which I love the full size, this one is okay.. I feel like the brush is different, but the formula is awesome. A lip gloss in Silhouette, which is a nice berry shade and a Velvet Lip Pencil in Focal Point. which pairs nicely with the gloss and feels nice on the lips.

This look reminded me of the changing of the leaves because Fall is here!!! :)

Here's the look:

EYES
  • Base- Cargo HD
  • Lid- Megapixel, and Sketch
  • Crease- Statuesque with Sketch
  • Highlight- Headshot
  • Liner- Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper, On the lower lash line I used Sketch and Abstract. I also used Cargo Swimmables liner in Dorado Beach in the water line
  • Mascara- Pur Fully Charged Mascara

  • Primer- Lorac Porefection Mattifying Face Primer
  • Foundation- Bliss Exglowsion Foundation
  • Concealer- Bliss Secret Under Cover
  • Contour- Lorac Pro Contour Palette
  • Highlight- Pur Elevation Palette in Boost
  • Blush- Lorac Tinge with Photogenic on top
  • Bronzer- Composition
 LIPS

  • Pur Velvet Lip Pencil in Focal Point
