Halloween 2014:Doe-A-Deer

Every year for Halloween I like to do something creative with my makeup and tend to lean towards the animalistic costumes. I came across this picture on Pinterest:

And I was looking for a brown turtleneck and lucked out I found a brown leotard at Sally Ann's and it fit me perfectly. I used some white paint on the back and used some craft fur and made a felt tail and this is how it turned out: 

I used mainly bronzer and a darker foundation with NYX jumbo pencil in Milk and black and white face makeup and false eyelashes. 

My guy was Spider-Man which made my night we had so much fun dancing the night away and my hair stayed pretty well lol

#TBT Kohl's Beauty Expo

This year I started a new job in March at Kohls just as a cashier at first but I got a part time position in the Beauty department which I started in April. I love it so much! I work with great people and I am surrounded by makeup (my dream!) and I love helping customers discover new products that I can't live without.  In September my co worker and I were selected to go to Orlando,FL to attend the Kohl's Beauty Expo. It was a 3 day event and we got training from all the wonderful brands Kohls has to offer. 

We got to meet the founder of Lorac, Carol Shaw she was so cool and down to earth. She is a celebrity makeup artist with a impressive clientele list. 

During the Pur Minerals class I was selected to compete in the 60 second makeup application and I was the first one to complete a starter kit in 60 seconds or less. So for winning I got my own starter kit. 

We also got to meet the founder of The Balm Marissa Shipman where she created all of her makeup in her kitchen! 

We also got to meet Sam and Nik from Real Techniques our their YouTube Channel PixiWoo. These ladies are so cute  I love them!! Their brushes are amazing as well!

We also got to see new fragrances that are being released as well as the current ones. Everyone told me I looked like Taylor Swift so I thought this was appropriate.. lol 

Ohh and did I mention MC Hammerwas there... #unreal 

The expo was so much fun and educational for the both of us, we got to take home some swag from the event so I will be sharing my favorite products in posts to come. :)

Guardian's Of The Galaxy: Gamora

I've been so behind on my blog entries I have no idea what I used for this look I would only assume the Urban Decay

Electric palette especially the bright green color. So one of my favorite movies of the year is Guardians Of The Galaxy, which I didn't have high expectations going in but I loved it! Chris Pratt became a bonafide movie star after and how awesome was Groot?!  My look was inspired by Gamora played by Zoe Saldana. 

#TBT Weddings This Year: Lauryn and Alicia

This year I had the opportunity to work two weddings this year. The first one was back in March at Castle Farms in Charleviox, her theme was Alice in Wonderland so it was very cool!

For this wedding I not only did the brides makeup but I also did the rest of the girls and the Mother of the Bride and I used most Urban Decay products including the Naked and the Naked 3 palette.

The second wedding was actually my boss's daughter Alicia and it was on my birthday! I also did her sister Ashley's makeup and my boss Becky's makeup and I helped out with Alicia's hair too

Gwen Stefani "The Voice" Blind Auditions Look

The Voice finale ended last night and I have to say I'm surprised with who won.. Craig was good but I was really hoping Matt would have won. Actually any of the final 4 could go on to have big careers after The Voice. Gwen and Pharrell were a nice change but I have to say I'm kinda excited for Christina to come back just because she's always has exciting makeup looks, Gwen only had stand out look for me and it was this gold sparkle cat eye with a bold red lip, which is the epitome of everything Gwen and it's perfect for the holiday season which is a week from today.. Christmas is a week away... WHAT?!!  This year seems to have flown by so fast!

American Idol: Jennifer Lopez Inspired Teal Cat Eye

This is a look I have been wanting to do for a long time, and it's been very hard to find screen shots to try and recreate it. A couple months ago Jennifer Lopez had this amazing cat eye and it looked like a blackened teal look with a mint eye to complement her gorgeous dress. I thought this would be a fabulous look for spring.

• Liner- I first used NYX Jumbo Pencil in Peacock, Then I used Urban Decay liner in Zero, then I used Geek Chic in Everybody Lies. Then I used Meteor on the bottom and Gunmetal on the outer part
• Mascara- Maybelline Rocket Lash

Maleficent and MAC Inspired Look

This look was inspired by the new MAC Collection inspired by the new summer movie Maleficient, starring Angelina Jolie and I have to say that she looks amazing in this role. The trailers look really dark and eerie but I feel like it would be a great movie

• Crease- Instead of using Concrete, I used UD Desperation and instead of using Carbon, I used Urban Decay Black Dog in the outer corner

• Liner- I used Urban Decay liner in Zero on the top and water line, on the bottom I used Wet N Wild Walking on Eggshells instead of Ground Brown and Blitz on the inner corner
