Shop MAC, Cook MAC Collection:Colour Added Dupes

MAC has come out with another fun collection called the Shop MAC, Cook MAC Collection.. which I would love to shop MAC but I don't know about cooking their products...  I think they look better than they would taste. lol   In the collection there are 3 different quads: Call Me Bubbles, Shop & Drop, Colour Added, what this look is inspired by..

(please ignore my hair.. I tried to curl my hair with a sock... and clearly it did not work hahaha)





Here's what I used:

EYES
  • Base- Wet N Wild Creme Shadow in Pixie
  • Lid- Instead of using Colour Added, I used NYX Trio in Serengetti (1st color)
  • Crease-Instead of using Pre-Packaged, I used Physician's Formula Pop Blue Eyes (dark blue)
  • Highlight- Instead of using Laundry Daze, I used a Color Mates palette (that I got for a dollar at Meijers) (yellow-white)
  • Liner- On the top lash line I used Ruby Kisses Xpress liner in Rebel. On the lower lash line I used Jordana liner in Denim Blue and on top instead of using Self-serve, I used another color from the Color Mates palette (grey/blue)
  • Mascara- Maybelline Great Lash in Lots of Lashes

My Little Pony: Daffidazey

This was my look for My Little Pony Friday which also happened to fall on my Practical exam for Cosmetology,  so I decided to go with inspiration from DaffiDazey, a white pony with multicolored mane and tail, one that I really wanted to do for a while now but I had always wanted it to be a bright colorful look that it deserved.


As for my exam, I PASSED!!! I'm so relieved after all this time preparing and getting all my supplies together.. now I had to schedule for the second part of my exam, Theory portion and I'm taking it on St. Patrick's Day and then hopefully I get my license *fingers crossed*

  • Base- NYX JP in Lavender
  • Lid- on the inner portion of the lid, and inner corner I used Archetype Minerals in Lisa's Busted Camaro, then I used She Space Minerals in Electric Lust on the rest of the lid
  • Crease- I used She Space Minerals in Fire and Brimstone and then I used 120 Palette (matte red) on the outer crease
  • Highlight- Ulta Iceland
  • Liner- on the inner lower lash line, I used Lisa's Busted Camaro, and then I used NYX JP in Purple Velvet and used She Space minerals in A Bit Naughty on top. With NYX JP in Milk on the water line
  • Mascara- Maybelline Great Lash in Lots of Lashes

MAC Vera Crushed Metallic Pigment: Aloha Dupe

The last look inspired by MAC Vera collection, comes from Crushed metallic pigment stack Aloha.
Loads of pretty orange and bronze colors, like my look for Strawberry Patch, this look really made my eyes pop!

  • Base- Wet N Wild Creme Shadow in Pixie
  • Lid- Instead of using Latern Light, I used Physician's Formula for Blue Eyes (light orange)
  • Crease-Instead of using Campfire Crush, I used Archetype Minerals in Yowie the Night Beast and instead of using Aloha, I used She Space Minerals in Hot for Chocolate in the outer crease.
  • Highlight- Instead of using Shifting Sands, I used Archetype Minerals in Seelie Court
  • Liner-  On the bottom lash line I used Jordana liner in Rockabilly Brown and then I used my dupe for Campfire Crush.
  • Mascara- Maybelline Great Lash in Lots of Lashes

MAC Vera Crushed Metallic Pigments: Strawberry Patch Dupes

The next inspired look from the MAC Vera collection is my dupe for Strawberry Patch, which is another crushed metallic pigment stack with colors ranging from bright pinks to creamy peach colors. I love working with pink colors because they can really make your eyes pop, but you have to be careful how you place certain colors to make sure you don't get the appearance of being tired.

  • Base- NYX JP in Lavender
  • Lid- Instead of using Rose Light, I used Ulta in Rose Dusk and then on the outer portion instead of using Strawberry Patch, I used Archetype Minerals in Plastic Pink
  • Crease-Instead of using Moon Rose, I used She Space Minerals in Oh You Jealous Girl! 
  • Highlight- Instead of using Star Crystal, I used Archetype Minerals in Sex and Candy
  • Liner- I used my dupe for Strawberry Patch and my dupe for Star Crystal on the inner lower lash line.
  • Mascara- Maybelline Great Lash in Lots of Lashes

MAC Vera Crushed Metallic Pigment: Butterfly Party Dupe

One of MAC's newest collections is inspired by Vera Neumann, and since they still don't have face charts on their website, I decided to get crafty and make my own looks up. This is a look taken with using dupes for the crushed metallic pigment called Butterfly Party. It was really funny that the pigments that I used some of them had insect names like BeetleWing and Obsidian Butterfly.. it was just amusing to me lol

Zelda's Revenge on Valentine's Day

This look was actually going to be entered into Makeup Geek's Valentine's Day Contest, but alas I could not get my look uploaded by the deadline, but I would still love the share my look with everyone! My inspiration was kinda vampy pin-up? Something kinda classy but fun...

My Little Pony: Apple Bloom

This My Little Pony look was done a few Fridays ago.. I have to apologize that I'm so behind on my posts.. because I have many that need to get done still.... This look was inspired by Apple Bloom, a yellowish-green pony with a bright rose mane.

The last look on the Idol Auditions tour is from St. Louis, Miss Lopez had a stunning dark purple-magenta lip color, with an iridescent pink eye shadow.

American Idol Auditions: Galveston, Jennifer Lopez Look

 The next Jennifer Lopez look is from the AI Auditions in Galveston, TX. I just can't get enough of her makeup looks, I really can't. It's nothing too out of the ordinary but it's a pretty tarnished gold kinda look with a nuede lip.

Superbowl Look 2012: Giants vs. Jets

 This was my look for this year's Superbowl, (notice how way behind on my posts I am.. ) This year I didn't really have a preference and  luckily enough both teams had the same colors.. I am glad that the New York Giants won because I just don't like Tom Brady.. or anyone who leaves their pregnant gf for a supermodel..  but anyways.. on to the look:

Wet N Wild: Petal Pusher Palette Look #2

My Little Pony: Scootaloo

This My Little Pony look is inspired by Scootalo, a light orange pony with medium purple and hot pink mane.  For my Eye lid base I used the new Maybelline Color Tatoo eyeshadow in Fierce and Tangy. I'm really loving how this colorful look turned out.

Gossip Girl: Blair Waldorf "The End of the Affair" inspired look

Hey everyone!!! This look is inspired by Gossip Girl's Blair Waldorf in ep. 11 "The End of The Affair"  While this season of GG has the most ridiculous plot lines (this one especially) I was just loving Leighton Meester's makeup.  If I were to classify this color I would call it Mac n Cheese on her lids haha and a bright red-orange lip to compliment.

This My Little Pony Friday was inspired by the pony Cherry Blossom, a bright magenta-purple, with bright and medium pinks and light lavenders. I was going to a red hat event with my mom so this inspiration was perfect.
