My Little Pony: Jazzmatazz

Last week's My Little Pony Friday was inspired by Jazzmatazz, I just loved the color combos on this pony with the bright pops of teal and pinks, with all my pony looks I love using glitter! Cause what would a My Little Pony be without some fun glitter!! :)

EYES

• Base- NYX JP in Lavender
• Lid- 120 palette (light pink + light purple)
• Crease-120 palette (bright pink)
• Highlight- 120 palette (white/gold)
• Liner- On top NYX Skinny Marker, on the bottom I used Hard Candy Shimmer Shadow in Spirited and put 120 palette (light gold) on top, then I used Jordana liner in Bliss then I used 120 palette (light aqua blue scramble) on top with Shakers glitter in Turquoise Blue, and Wet N Wild Black Sparkle Liner in the water line.

Hunger Games Inspired Look

 I have to admit I have not read any of the Hunger Games books but the movie looks absolutely fantastic! In honor of the movie release I decided to do my own Hunger Games makeup look based off the movie poster Slate Grays and bright yellow golds and oranges.

EYES

• Base- Wet N Wild Creme Shadow in Graphite
• Lid- I used Archetype Minerals in Silk Stockings (I used this product wet)
• Crease- 120 palette (sparkle black)
• Highlight- 120 palette (white/gold)
• Liner- On the top line I used Archetype Minerals in Oil Slick, On the bottom and inner corner I used Hard Candy Shimmer Shadow in Spirited then I used Archetype Minerals in Valley of the Kings (used wet) and in the middle I used Rimmel Eyefuls in Flaunt with Archetype Minerals in Yowie the Night Beast on top. Then I lined it with Paper Doll Sparkles in Orange and kinda spread the glitter out towards the outer corner. Then I used Wet N Wild Black Sparkle Liner in the waterline.

Kelly Clarkson "Stronger (What doesn't kill you)" Music Video Look

 I just love Kelly Clarkson's fierce look in her new video "Stronger"  It has a great iridescence to it and gives that tough girl edge that Kelly loves to bring to the table :)

• Lid- Archetype Minerals in Night Jaguar + Wet N Wild Comfort Zone Palette (Definer color = Brown/Blue-green)
• Crease- Comfort Zone Palette (lid + crease on left side)
• Highlight- Ulta in Iceland
• Liner- NYX Skinny Marker on top with Wet N Wild Black Sparkle liner also on tight line. On the bottom I used Femme Fatale and smuged with Comfort Palette (Definer color- Dark Brown) then I put some Night Jaguar on top cause it looked a little iridescent in the picture. added Wet N Wild black sparkle liner to the water line.

Blake Lively: Teen Choice Awards Look

 It's only March here in MI, but we have been experiencing temps of 80 degrees and we can wear dresses and shorts.. which MI has unpredictable weather but this is a great treat! So with the warm weather I decided to do a look inspired by Blake Lively's bronze summer look from Teen Choice Awards.

• Crease- Wet N Wild Comfort Palette (eye lid on the left side)
• Highlight- Day to Play Palette (matte beige)
• Liner- On top: Jordana Liner in Lavish Brown mixed with Wet N Wild Black Sparkle Liner. On the bottom: I used Hard Candy Shimmer shadow in Spirited and then put Urban Decay shadow in El Dorado, then I used Jordana liner in Rockabilly Brown and blended a little of the crease color with it.

My Little Pony: Mimic

This is my era of My Little Ponies.. I actually had this one too!! It's name is Mimic and it's a cool light green color with a bright yellow-green and magenta-red mane.. I tried to use an eye popping color on my water line

Britney Spears "Crazy" Music Video Look

 After doing a Christina Aguilera look I decided to do a look based on another pop princess, Britney Spears. Now I have done many looks from Britney, because she is awesome :) This look in particular is from vintage Britney from her music video "Crazy"  a video which I absolutely loved at the time and still do... I remember staying up late one night memorizing the dance break in the video with my best friend. Even dressed like her for Halloween curly hair and all.

You will notice that I did something new with my hair, I decided to fall into the ombre trend, but instead of doing dark on top and blonde on the bottom (which is what my hair looked like while my highlights were growing out... and I couldn't stand) I decided to go with the Reversed Ombre, that way I can keep my Blonde hair on top and Blonde on the bottom...

Christina Aguilera: The Voice Battle Rounds Look

I am just loving The Voice and I also love Christina Aguilera's makeup!! This look in particular really got my attention, it was just so pretty!!!

• Base- Jane in Mercury Rising on lid and crease (drew out how I wanted lid)
• Lid- Wet N Wild Silent Treatment (lid color) then I used Hard Candy Walk the Liner in Night Sky as my base for my glitter. Then I used Claire's Silver glitter on top the lid.
• Crease-Day to Play Palette in Taupe and Med Beige
• Highlight- Ulta in Bone
• Liner- On top I used NYX JP in Milk and then I applied a matte white (120 palette) then I used NYX Skinny Marker to line a thin line in front of the white with Wet N Wild black liner in the tight line. On the bottom: I used Wet N Wild Black Sparkle liner and a black (120 palette)

Taj mauve-mal- Lot more Mauve than the picture leads you to believe.

Fuchsia with Blue Pearl- Another really pretty bright pink with a blue base.

 

Light Berry Frost-  Medium Pink color with a shimmer

Dark Pink Frost- Really pretty mauve with flecks of gold

Pink Ice- A light pink with shimmer

Finally got around to swatching most of my Wet N Wild Silk Finish Lip Sticks, I broke it up into 3 different posts because I had some many.. this post will be all about the darker colors.

 

This is a pic of all the swatches together.

Individually:

Seville Sangria- It's more of a Brick Red color when I swatched it I don't know why the camera made it so bright

Black Orchid- Again a lot Darker in the tube than on camera...

Cashmere- Is pretty true to the color maybe just a touch darker.

Dark Wine- Deep Burgundy color.. not this the camera flash got a hold of this one..

Black Widow- Basic Black (I had an up close pic but it got deleted somehow :(   )

My Little Pony: Fancy Free

There's a handy dandy site that gives an encyclopedia for My Little Ponies http://mlp.imagesofher.com/index.php (but not the Gen 1's I used to play with)  I came across Fancy Free, she was really cute and it was a great opportunity to do a purple gradient type look. I really love doing looks with sparkles, especially when I do My Little Pony looks.

Makeup Geek Contest:Blake Lively

Vanessa Hudgens Nylon Magazine Event

I honestly can't tell you how many times I tried to recreate this look whether it be getting the lipstick color just right or the liner drawn in perfectly. Ok this probably was the 4th time I have tried to do this look and I just was not happy with the outcome. This time I think I finally got it right.
